1. Documentation: 

Documentation required for Italian citizens not residing in the Municipality of Arco: 

• Authorization from your municipality of residence to marry in the Municipality of Arco (the date of this act must not be more than six months before the scheduled date of the celebration); 

• Copies of the identity cards of the future spouses and witnesses; 

• For couples who choose the separation of assets as their matrimonial regime, a specific declaration must be signed at the Civil Status Office of the Municipality of Arco. 

Documentation required for foreign citizens not residing in the Municipality of Arco: 

• No impediment certificate from the competent authority of your country of origin to marry in the Municipality of Arco; 

• Birth certificates of the future spouses, only if the no impediment certificate (previous point) does not already include information regarding the parents of the individuals; 

• Copies of the identity cards of the future spouses and witnesses; 

• A few days before the ceremony, by appointment with the Civil Status Office of the Municipality of Arco, a declaration of no impediment to marriage must be signed; 

• For foreign couples, the presence of an interpreter is also necessary, both for the pre-ceremony signatures at the Civil Status Office and during the ceremony. Support is offered in finding an interpreter if the couple does not already have one chosen. A school certificate is not required to guarantee language proficiency; the person chosen must ensure a faithful translation.
